Emerald City Half-Marathon & 5k
Race Description
The Emerald City Half Marathon and 5K (formally the Run for the Booty) has taken on a new name (Emerald City….Greenville…get it??) and new affiliation with Special Olympics North Carolina.
The North Carolina Law Enforcement Torch Run is proud to partner with the Emerald City Half-Marathon & 5k to support Special Olympics North Carolina. This event is one of many Torch Run events held throughout the state that will help provide awareness and support of the mission of Special Olympics. Additionally, partnerships such as ours help to ensure the success of not only the organization, but of each and every athlete involved. On behalf of the more than 38,000 Special Olympics athletes in North Carolina, I would like to thank you for your support of this event.
Not only that, but the Start/Finish has moved to the Greenville Commons on First Street and next to the Tar River. Live music and fun for the entire family will take place in the Commons during and after the run.
