Race Description

12 Oaks is proud to host the first annual 12 Oaks 5K Run/Walk and Kid’s Fun Run. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Kraft Family YMCA “WeBuildPeople” Campaign and The Holly Springs Food Cupboard.

The Kraft Family YMCA “WeBuildPeople” Program raises funds for families who can’t otherwise afford YMCA programs and services. It focuses specifically on providing children & teens with safe outlets, positive role models, and opportunities to achieve their full potential.

The Holly Springs Food Cupboard (HSFC) is a tax exempt nonprofit corporation with the mission of serving the growing need of providing emergency food relief to needy families in Holly Springs, NC. HSFC is 100% volunteer driven and has no paid staff.

Race Details

Entry Fee’s

  • 5K Run/Walk…..$25 prior to May 12 – $30 beginning May 13
  • Kid’s Fun Run…..$5 no late fee

Schedule

  • 5K – 2:00pm
  • Kid’s Fun Run – 3:15pm
  • Family Fun Festival 1:00pm – 5:00 pm

Timing/Awards

Race will be electronically timed, so runners who wish for an official time will need to pick up their timing chip at Registration.
Awards: Awards will be presented to the top 3 Overall Men and Women nd Top 3 Masters Male and Female.
Top 3 in the following Age Divisions for Male & Female:
16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64-65-69, 70 over

Tshirts

  • 5k participants will receive race shirts, but we only guarentee correct sizes and shirts to those who register prior to May 12. Shirts are unisex, 100% cotton, short sleeve.

Cancellation Policy

In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Director or Race Committee (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency), refunds will not be made, but race packets, including race shirts, will be available at a location to be determined.

Rules / Guidelines

Sorry, but for safety reasons, we do not allow dogs, bicycles, inline skates or any means of transportation other than running, walking or wheelchairs. Running baby strollers are allowed but must have a minimum of 6″ wheels. Race Director reserves the right to reject any entry or to remove any participant from the race course without explanation.
