Event Timing

BTR Management and ncraces uses the best timing systems available. We mainly use the highly accurate IPICO computer timing system, but also use Chronotrack disposable chip system and RRID disposable system.

We successfully time over 100 events a year with from 30 – 3000 runners.

In addition, we provide the following:

Digital clock for runners to see their times when crossing the Finish Line
Truss system for mounting the Start/Finish banner at any height you require up to 15’
100 traffic cones
Finish chute and fencing
PA system for Start/Finish announcements and music.

Events Advertising

Not only can you get your logo and name before thousands of runners each year, but you can also display at the races. Businesses have taken advantage of this opportunity because of the effectiveness of face-to-face interacting with potential customers.

We have various levels of advertising and sponsorships available, depending on your budget, and we can tailor any package to meet your needs.

Event Organization

BTR Management has been in the race directing business for over 30 years. During that time, we have founded, managed or directed over 500 races. Including

National 10K Championship.
Special Olympics World Games Marathon and Half Marathon
The Old Reliable Run
The Triangle Triathlon
Raleigh Rocks Half Marathon
Crystal Coast Half Marathon
Emerald City Half Marathon
Raleigh Fall Festival
+ numerous other runs and walks

We have three levels of event organization, depending what you or your organization require.

BTR Management Options

Option #1 – Total Race Management

We do this for over 30 events a year where we manage the entire event, but depend on the non-profit partner for volunteers, sponsor leads/sales and marketing.

BTR Management is responsible for the following:

Any and all requirements for holding a successful road race
Appointing a committee and assigning members duties for the race
Obtaining all permits and approvals form the municipality for holding a road race
Working with the police for course security
Obtaining necessary insurance
Course design, layout and obtaining certification
Securing all supplies and equipment for holding a road race (portajohns, barricades, cones, tents, tables, chairs, rental vehicles, etc.)
Brochure layout, design and printing
Setting up online registration
Data entry
Managing race website
Notifying running clubs and associations about race
Establishing and updating the race budget
Opening bank account for race and managing funds, paying invoices and providing partner verification of with all deposits and withdrawals
Volunteer training and assignments
Setting up and managing race day registration
Order race and volunteer shirts
Securing awards
Providing a safe race course with proper volunteers, police, barricades and directional markings
Ordering and preparing runner number bibs
Timing and results using the IPICO Timing System
Posting results online

BTR Management will provide the following:

Finish chutes
Finish Truss for Start/Finish banner
250 traffic cones (additional cones $.50 each)
12 tables
Trash cans
Mile signs
Turn stanchions and marking
Sound System

Option #2

All of the above, but BTR Management will not be responsible for managing the funds, bank account or paying any invoices. BTR Management will not be responsible for event insurance since we do not control the funds as regulated by insurance providers.

Option #3

BTR Management is contracted as the timing company and will not have any responsibilities other than timing and results.

This will include:

Attending any necessary meeting
Providing advice and guidance for holding a successful road race
Bib preparation
Chip preparation
Data entry
Overseeing race day registration
Setting up online registration
Printing out award winners in the categories provided by the race committee
Providing the supplies mentioned above
